Location: it is situated in the central part of the
country, in the valley of the Tarnava Mica river, in the Praid-Sovata basin
(at an altitude of 580 m above sea level), in the south-western part of the Gurghiu Mountains, at 10 km distance from Sovata resort.
Climate: it is specific to mountain basins, with cool summers and
cold winters. The annual average temperature is of 7, 6 ˚C, the quantity
of annual rain and snow reaches the approximate amount of 750 mm.
Natural treatment factors: stimulating climate, rich in ozone, deep
salt-mine with specific micro-climate.
Therapeutic indications: asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic
sinusitis, silicosis, problems with the respiratory organs.
Types of procedures: 16-18 days of treatment in the salt-mine,
4-6 hours/day every year or every second year, depending on the severity of the
illness.
